The Wolcott Country Fair is Back for 2021!!!
The Wolcott Lions and the Wolcott Agricultural Society are excited to announce that the 2021 Wolcott Country Fair will be held this August 20, 21, 22. After being forced to cancel last year’s fair due to the Covid Pandemic, The Wolcott Country Fair will be back better and bigger than ever.
This year’s chairmen Roger Harbanuk, Bill Harpin and Andrew Harbanuk, all stressed that strict COVID measures will be always in effect throughout the event. “Providing a safe fair is our first priority,” they stated. “We are actively working to meet, and exceed, suggested guidelines from the Department of Public Health.”
With the high rate of vaccinations continuing to grow, the Lions are very hopeful that there will be even less restrictions come time for the fair in August. This will allow people to get out and enjoy themselves, making up for being isolated and cooped up at home for the last 14 months.
As far as activities, the Wolcott Country Fair will be offering old favorites and some new ones that the crowds will surely love. These include – Incredible food, featuring many NEW Food Trucks; Dock Diving Dogs; Wolcott’s own World-Renowned Knife Maker, Brian Evelich and great bands such as “The Zoo” along with “Derik & The Fun Bags” and newcomers “Peat Moss and the Fertilizers”. The hours for the fair are: Friday 4pm – 11pm; Saturday 10am – 11pm; Sunday 10am – 9pm.
Do not forget to practice on your recipes, photographs and artwork to win a ribbon at the Arts and Crafts Barn. Those of you producing homemade goods, will find a place in the Juried Crafters Building to sell your wares.
The Rodeo Arena has plenty of horse action with Barrel Racing, Gymkhana events and Mini-Horse Pulls. More fun events in the arena will include Tug of War and the hilarious Backseat Driver Challenge.
The younger crowd should know that the Lions are working on getting even bigger and better rides for the Carnival area and that this is a top priority for them.
Of course, there will be the ever-popular fireworks display, which will be held on Saturday night at 10pm. As always, there will be the Famous Lion’s Raffle, where you can purchase tickets to win Thousands of Dollars in Cash. So be sure to buy a ticket or two to cash in on the fun.
The Wolcott Lions are hoping for a large turnout as this is their major fundraiser for the year, which helps provide funding for many community organizations and charities.
