Local Chapter of the National Exchange Club Exchangeites are a groups of men and women working together to make our communities better places to live through programs of service in Americanism, Community Service, Youth Activities and it's national project, the Prevention of Child Abuse.
Farmingbury Women's Club
For over 100 years, the General Federation of Women’s Clubs of Connecticut (GFWC/CT) has been part of an international organization with a mission to provide volunteer services, respond to challenges, and to seize a crisis as an opportunity for moving forward. Our mission encompasses being an innovative leader in education, and development of women to benefit their children, their community and their government. Our goal is to be of service to others, improve our social, cultural and physical environment and promote appreciation of the arts. We strive to become responsible leaders in our communities. Our attention goes beyond the community to encourage women to expand their horizons by meeting new friends, stimulating new interests, gaining more knowledge, and through united efforts, creating new awareness of today’s ever changing world.
Junior Women's Club of Wolcott
The Junior Women's Club of Wolcott, Inc. is a non-profit, 501c3, organization dedicated to volunteer community service promoting the Arts, Conservation, Current Affairs, Education, Health and Homelife. Opportunities for friendships, personal growth and leadership abound.
Patriots' Day Initiative
Our Mission is to bring awareness, across Connecticut, to our new Patriots’ Day Holiday which is celebrated on the 3rd Monday of every April in a continuous effort to spark patriotism in the hearts of citizens; while honoring and educating about our American Heritage and History.
Wolcott Circle of Sports
Our mission is to promote and improve good sportsmanship and athletics, as well as harmony and friendship among those individuals and entities interested in athletics among today’s youth and the raising of funds in order to provide merit-based scholarships and awards to deserving young athletes who reside in the Town of Wolcott.
Wolcott Crossroads
The mission of Wolcott Crossroads is to unite our local community and create new ways and ideas to combat drug use affecting our youth and provide support for families. Wolcott Crossroads recognizes that an epidemic of drugs exists in our, and other communities. We are an all volunteer group of concerned citizens who work collaboratively with dedicated helpers and community partners, to deliver education and resources to the town of Wolcott and surrounding areas. Because of the complexity of drug addiction, this problem needs to be addressed on all levels. We only ask that it be done with open hearts and open minds. There is no proven way to solve this problem.
Wolcott Grange
Wolcott Grange No. 173 was formed March 7, 1909, with 24 charter members. The Grange underwent re-organization and revitalization in early 2012, and is now extremely active in its community. Wolcott Grange No. 173 is a Subordinate (Community) Grange of the Connecticut State Grange.
Wolcott Lions
Lions help meet the needs of local communities and the world. community is what we make it. Our motto is "We Serve". Locally we help support the Wolcott, CT community with scholarships, sponsor five yearly blood drives, host ziti diners to help families in their time of need, supporting youth organizations like the Leos Club and most recently the Wolcott Youth Center, peace poster contest and supporting events like the Halloween DARE dance, supporting our senior citizens, donating and delivering food baskets around the holidays to families in need, and sponsoring the Winter Wonderland for the Wolcott community. We also donate to families and organizations that require financial support. Together, with your help and support, we are able to make a difference in the lives many individuals.
Wolcott Resource Center
The Wolcott Resource Center was established in 2011 with the mission of providing services and guidance to Wolcott residents in need. The primary focus of the WRC has been the collection and distribution of food through the Wolcott Food Pantry. Through local partnerships with community groups, schools, private citizens and businesses, we have been able to provide this much needed service by sponsoring food drives. We also partner with the Connecticut Food Bank which supplies a portion of our food. The WRC continues to expand into other areas such as directing referrals to the Wolcott Fuel Bank, participating in the Toys for Tots program and other needs driven programs in Wolcott. The need for these services is constantly growing and the WRC continues to search for innovative ways to continue to provide this level of support in our community.
